On Wednesday night, I went to the 92nd Street Y with my friend Mario to see Fern Mallis interview Marc Jacobs. While I’ve attended Mallis’ entire series, the Marc Jacobs event was by far, much more crowded than the other talks Fern has hosted. The event sold out, the the balcony which usually sits empty was filled.

Earlier today, my favorite designer, Betsey Johnson made a public appearance at the Macy’s at the Roosevelt Field Mall on Long Island, to promote her collection of accessories available at the retailer nationwide.
Shoppers were able to meet the fashion icon at the new Macy’s Shoe Department and receive a free tote bag, gift and photo with her just for coming. Blogger and television personality Micah Jesse, hosted the event and DJ Kalkutta will be kept the tunes coming.

Nicki Minaj was all over Manhattan yesterday to promote her new perfume ‘Pink Friday.’
After stopping by Hot 97 and The View to promote the new fragrance she made her way over to Macy’s Herald Square to meet and greet with the first 300 lucky fans to drop $155 (plus tax) on her deluxe fragrance gift set, which includes both large and small bottles of perfume, along with body lotion, hair mist and a tote bag.
Nicki paired blue and white Marni pants with a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti blue suede platform wedges and kept her normal Barbie antics up with the rest of her fit, pairing a cropped bra top with a pink blazer and military style hat. She looked super cute!
I decided to go decked out in a pink Betsey Johnson dress and Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded themed makeup. She loved my look and told me I looked amazing! I think I may have died and gone to heaven.

On Saturday, I went over to Sephora in the Meatpacking district where the CFDA award winning designer launched the Amika X Cynthia Rowley ceramic styler. The event was really fun; Cynthia hosted a meet and greet with fans, they raffled off an amazing dress from Rowley’s spring collection, and ladies were treated to free hair styling with the Amika team.
The event was also really laid-back, which I liked. Cynthia walked in by herself off the street and there weren’t any wristbands, lines, or security barricades.
The limited-edition styler, which is sold exclusively at Sephora, is really cool looking and features tech-grade, ceramic plates and a gorgeous floral print designed by Cynthia. The floral, ceramic styler retails for $115 and includes an oversize poster of the Rowley’s print and a backstage look at her spring show. See more photos after the jump.
